Growing up, I was the child who asked for a camera every year at Christmas. Disposable cameras, Polaroid instant, digital..No matter the type of camera, I just had to have it. I was deemed the designated photographer at every family event I attended. From a young age I've taken great pride in being able to capture irreplaceable moments from my eyes.
For most of my early life I just knew I'd be a photographer when I grew up. I attended college at the University of Wisconsin Madison and graduated with a degree in Human Development & Family Studies. Over the years photography became more of a hobby instead of a potential career path.
In July of 2013, I married my high school sweetheart of 8 years. After traveling to Jamaica for our honeymoon we were bit by the traveling bug. Our love for travel brought back my desire to pursue photography as a career. Before our 2015 wedding anniversary trip to Paris, France I took the big leap and purchased my first professional camera. From that trip, Amanda Evans Photography was born. Welcome to my world!
